HERDEM and ARZINGER to Host Joint Webinar on the Legal Landscape of Turkish-Ukrainian Defense Cooperation

Istanbul, Türkiye — HERDEM Attorneys at Law announces that it will co-host a webinar with Ukrainian law firm ARZINGER on 4 November 2026, examining the legal and regulatory issues shaping the growing partnership between the Turkish and Ukrainian defense and aerospace industries.

Titled “UA Defence: Legal Industry Insights,” the session brings together lawyers from both firms to address the practical legal questions facing companies operating across the two markets: export control and sanctions compliance, cross-border M&A and investment structuring, intellectual property protection and technology transfer, and the regulatory and public procurement requirements that govern defense-sector transactions in each jurisdiction.

The webinar reflects a broader trend: as Türkiye and Ukraine deepen defense-industrial ties, companies on both sides are increasingly navigating unfamiliar regulatory terrain, from Türkiye’s dual-use export control regime to Ukraine’s wartime legal and investment framework. HERDEM and ARZINGER, both active advisors to defense, aerospace, and miltech clients in their respective markets, will share practical insight drawn from their transactional and compliance work in the sector.

The panel will feature Simge Kılıç, Managing Partner of HERDEM, whose practice focuses on export controls, sanctions, and trade compliance for Turkish and multinational clients in defense and aerospace; together with three ARZINGER partners — Timur Bondaryev, Founder & Senior Partner and Head of the firm’s Corporate/M&A and Defence & Aerospace practices; Taras Kyslyy, co-Head of ARZINGER’s Intellectual Property, Technology and Defence Groups and a WIPO arbitrator with over 27 years of IP and export control experience; and Kateryna Oliinyk, co-Head of the same groups, who advises on technology transactions, IP, and regulatory compliance in the defense and tech sectors.

The webinar will take place online via Microsoft Teams on Wednesday, 4 November 2026, at 15:00 (GMT+3). It is aimed at in-house counsel, compliance professionals, and business leaders operating in or entering the Turkish-Ukrainian defense, aerospace, and dual-use technology sectors.
