As per the new announcement published by the Turkish Medicines And Medical Devices Agency (“the Agency”), the previously published announcements on the pre-authorization application processes regarding the certain export prohibited products  have been updated and as of April 27, 2020, the applications to be made to the Agency shall continue in accordance with the new guide attached to the announcement.

Accordingly, as of known, certain products are subject to pre-authorization of Ministry of Commerce (“Ministry”) due to Covid-19. In this process, applications were received electronically by the Directorate General of State Supply Office in order to meet the demands of masks and protective clothes required by public institutions and organizations during the pandemic.

In order to ensure safe product accessibility, to effectively manage the stock and supply of critical products used in treatment and to protect public health, the software infrastructure works for sharing the relevant data have been completed and the necessary procedures have been established. In this context, due to the update of the software system, export pre-authorization applications made as “Medical Device and Protective Equipment Application” before April 27, 2020 through Electronic Process Management (ESY) system will be rejected in the system and there will be no official letter to be sent to the companies regarding this rejection. If the pre-authorization request for the related applications continues, relevant applications shall be made again by the concerned companies.
