COVID-19: Turkey Extended the Period for Remote Work Option for Technology Development Zones

Research Development and Technology Development Law has been amended with the Omnibus Bill that recently entered into force with purpose to reduce adverse effects of the Covid-19. With this respect, activities carried out under the scope of the Law on Supporting Research, Development, and Design Activities numbered 5746 may be continued outside R&D and Design Centers and activities obligatory to be carried out inside the technology development zones under the Law on Technology Development Zones numbered 4691 may be continued elsewhere with the permission of the Minister of Industry and Technology for 1 year from October 11, 2021. In case of permission, reductions, exceptions, and incentives under the relevant laws would not be affected provided that the Ministry of Industry and Technology is informed.
