Automatic Data Transfer Feature in European Patent Transactions Launched in Turkish Electronic Application System (EPATS)

Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (“TPTO”) on May 11, 2020, announced that a web service has initiated between TPTO and the European Patent Office regarding the fascicle and claim entry procedures of European patents. In this context, for European patent fascicle entry procedures from EPATS, the fascicle publication number (B1); for patent claim processes, application publication number (A1) must be entered during these processes to ensure the bibliographic data related to the said patents were filled in EPATS interfaces and reflected to the transaction forms.
